Cold Weather Advisory issued January 6 at 7:01PM EST until January 7 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 28 expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Inland Volusia, Northern Lake, Orange,
Seminole, and Southern Lake.
* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The potential exists for frost bite and/or hypothermia
from prolonged exposure outside due to the very cold wind chills.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
