Cold Weather Advisory issued January 6 at 12:13PM EST until January 7 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with
gusts up to 45 mph. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind
chills as low as 28 expected.
* WHERE...Volusia and Lake Counties.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 7 PM EST this evening. For the
Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
