Snow Squall Warning issued January 3 at 3:53PM EST until January 3 at 4:15PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 353 PM EST, a hazardous snow squall was located along a line from
over Monroeville to over New Cumberland, or along a line from over
Monroeville to 7 miles north of Weirton, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
up to 35 mph.

SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
Monroeville, Moon Township, McMurray, Greensburg, Weirton,
McKeesport, Jeannette, Canonsburg, Connellsville, Gastonville,
Shaler Township, West Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin and
Upper St. Clair.

This includes the following highways...
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 9.
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 30...and
between mile markers 34 and 57.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 44 and 64.
Interstate 376 between mile markers 51 and 81.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 62 and 84.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
