Snow Squall Warning issued January 3 at 3:36PM EST until January 3 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 336 PM EST, a hazardous snow squall was located along a line from
5 miles southeast of Reynoldsville to over Delmont, or along a line
from 12 miles northeast of Punxsutawney to 8 miles north of
Jeannette, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
up to 35 mph.

SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Cranberry, Greensburg, Indiana, Butler, Franklin
Park, Latrobe, Punxsutawney, Vandergrift, Brookville, Homer City,
Apollo, Shaler Township, Plum, Murrysville and Hampton Township.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 73 and 90.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 73 and 106.
Interstate 376 between mile markers 83 and 84.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 25 and 58.

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads,
bridges and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and
be prepared for sudden loss of traction.
