Winter Storm Watch issued December 30 at 9:43PM EST until January 5 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations
between 10 and 18 inches, with locally up to 24 inches.
* WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A general snowfall behind a departing low
pressure system will bring widespread light to moderate snow
amounts Wednesday, with the greatest amounts falling over the
higher elevations of southern Erie and Crawford Counties. The snow
will transition to lake effect snow squalls Wednesday night, with
the lake effect snow persisting off and on through Sunday.
