Description
Temporary "No Boring/Digging Rule" for City of Kenedy

Effective Immediately Due to Water Supply Conditions
In response to ongoing water conditions and in an effort to preserve and manage our water resources, the City of Kenedy is implementing a temporary "No Boring/Digging Rule."
What does this mean?
• No water drilling, boring or digging activities in public right-of-way (e.g., for wells, irrigation systems, or construction) are allowed within city limits until further notice.
• This rule is being enforced to ensure there is no additional strain on the water supply during critical periods, specially to prevent accidental line breaks.
Exceptions
• Emergency drilling related to public health or safety may be approved on a case-by-case basis with prior authorization from the City of Kenedy.
Duration
• This rule will be in effect until water supply conditions stabilize and the City lifts the restriction. Updates will be provided regularly.
We appreciate the cooperation of all residents and businesses as we work to protect our water resources during this critical time.
For questions or to request an exemption, please contact the City of Kenedy's Water Department at (830) 583-3217.
