Boil Water Notice Rescinded


On December 12, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system, City of Kenedy, PWS ID 1280002 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform customers on 313/315 N. 5th St,105/107/303/415/418/721 W. Main St., 108/112 S. 1st St., 113 S. Sunset Strip, 705 S. 9th St., 510 S. 5th St. 618 Margaret St., 707 Leland St., 504 S 7th St., 222 N. 2nd St., and any resident or business that may have experienced low water pressure or no water, between 10am and 11am, that due to the possible presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of December 17, 2024.
