Special Weather Statement issued December 18 at 5:53AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Satellite imagery and surface observations indicate areas of fog
are leading to reduced visibility as low as one half to one mile
north and west of Interstate 4, across portions of Lake and
inland Volusia counties. The fog is also encroaching upon adjacent
areas of Seminole and Orange counties, though it is not as thick
there.
If you encounter fog while driving, slow down, use low beam
headlights, and increase following distance. The fog is expected
to linger through the early morning commute before gradually
lifting after sunrise.
