Description
Please be advised that a black bear visited the borough last night, traveling down our streets and through several backyards. The police were notified and followed its tracks but eventually lost sight of it.
Chief Buzz advises, "Stay alert, and if you spot one, please call us so we’re aware. Black bears are generally scavengers and will not bother you unless provoked. Simply keep your distance and watch out for small children and pets. As a reminder, we’ve also had coyotes in the borough. Coyotes are much more dangerous than black bears and may target small children and pets. Above all, do not feed wild animals—it’s a recipe for disaster."
