Please see information below recieved from Met-Ed concenring pole removal throughout Forks Township.
Met-Ed has contracted with Davey Resource Group to remove double poles throughout our eastern territory. These are situations where utilities are sharing a pole, all wires have been moved over, and the old pole still exists.
Work will begin Monday, December 9 and continue throughout the month. You may see Davey Resource Group or Main Line trucks in the area. They’re beginning in our Easton service territory due to many of these poles being in grassy locations allowing for the holes to be filled completely this year. In areas where patching is required, the work will be cold patched with final restoration happening in the Spring.
