Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 5 at 10:48PM EST until December 6 at 8:00PM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional accumulations between 1
and 3 inches. Most of the additional accumulation will occur late
Friday, with a break in the snow late tonight through early Friday
afternoon.
* WHERE...Cameron, Elk, McKean, Potter, and Warren Counties.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
