Blizzard Warning issued December 5 at 1:46PM EST until December 7 at 1:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between
8 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities will drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. Significant drifting of snow is likely, including
across some roadways. The strong winds may cause downed trees and
power outages. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make
travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel is
expected to be impossible today and should be postponed. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow with the strongest winds and
blizzard conditions of the event will continue through this
evening. Lake effect snow bands will persist and be the main
concern for the rest of the event through Friday as wind gusts
slowly diminish. The strong winds and density of the large
snowpack across Northwest Pennsylvania could result in damage to
structures.

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with
your vehicle.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel
restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit www.511pa.com for

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel
extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel, have a
winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay in your
vehicle.
