Snow Squall Warning issued December 5 at 7:43AM EST until December 5 at 8:45AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Northeastern Erie County in western New York...
Niagara County in western New York...
Orleans County in western New York...
Genesee County in western New York...
Northwestern Monroe County in western New York...

* Until 845 AM EST.

* At 740 AM EST, a snow squall line was located across the Niagara
Frontier, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
greater than 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 47 and 56.

Locations impacted include...
Buffalo, Rochester, Greece, Cheektowaga, Irondequoit, West Seneca,
North Tonawanda, Clarence, Chili, and Lockport.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
