VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA – Volusia County Mosquito Control is offering two free tire amnesty events to help reduce mosquito breeding grounds in the community. The first event will take place on December 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mosquito Control Headquarters, 801 South St., New Smyrna Beach. The second event will be held on January 11 at the Deland Road & Bridge Office, 165 Deerfoot Road. Residents are welcome to bring up to 20 tires for recycling. Please note, only residential tires will be accepted, with a limit of 20 tires per household. For more details, visit www.volusia.org/mosquito.
