Description
Penn Waste has been notified that effective January 1, 2025, disposal rates at the York County Resource Recovery Facility are increasing $4.00/ton. The York County Disposal Plan mandates that all municipal-like waste be disposed of at the York Incinerator. Please see the attached letter documenting the increase. As a result of this disposal increase, Penn Waste will need to increase its quarterly rate per home by $3.51 per quarter.
Your original rate for January 2025 was $74.46 per quarter for Regular Trash Customers and $55.25 per quarter for Low Volume Trash Customers. The new quarterly rate for Dover Township will be $77.97 per quarter for the Regular Trash Customers and $58.96 per quarter for the Low Volume Service effective January 1, 2025. This figure was arrived at by using the township's 2023 tonnage figures for a total of 7215.95 tons.
Recycle Only customer's rate will not be increased.
