Red Land Senior Center Asking for Community Help in Finding New Location to Continue Services to Assist Area Senior Citizens
November 19, 2024 (Lewisberry, PA) For Immediate Release
The Red Land Senior Center (RLSC) in Lewisberry has served thousands of area Seniors for over 50 years but must now relocate. Their current landlord Wyndamere Heights Evangelical Church, who has been gracious to support the Senior Center for many years, is in need of space now used by the Senior Center.
The Red Land Senior Center is asking the Northern York County Community for help in finding a new location for rent, purchase or charitable partnership. The new location would ideally be located in Fairview or Newberry Townships, be around 9,000+ square feet of flexible space that is or can be ADA compliant, with kitchen facilities already in place or able to be put in place, to continue the Free Lunch Program for Senior Citizens.
RLSC Board President Bob Gasswint states, "We are in current need of immediate space to continue providing services and programs to our area seniors. We are asking the Community to let us know of any available space in Fairview or Newberry Townships that would be affordable for a non-profit organization. We would ideally like to partner with another non-profit organization, or lease or purchase affordable space. If you know of suitable space, please reach out to Bob Gasswint by email at ideas@redlandseniorcenter.org. The Red Land Senior Center will continue to operate all services and programs at their current location at 736 Wyndamere Rd, Lewisberry PA until a new suitable location can be found. We do not expect any interruption in providing services."
The Red Land Senior Center is a non-profit organization that has been providing critical services to area Seniors in Northern York County for over 50 years. Services provided include Senior Citizen Information, Daily Free Lunch Program, Health Screenings & Seminars, Educational Seminars, Recreational and Socialization Programs, Fitness Programs, Fun Day Trips, Volunteer Service Opportunities, Transportation Service Linkage, Entertainment, Daily Activities, & Much More.
