Description
The Borough is proud to announce that we have received a $60,000 grant for the rehabilitation of Morrison Park, located in College Heights at the corner of Highland Avenue and East 30th Street.

As you may recall, earlier this year the Borough had to remove all equipment from the park because it was decades old, hazardous, and did not meet accessibility requirements.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Borough who contributed to the successful grant application. Council President Regina Julius has made it her mission to improve all park facilities in the Borough, and this marks the third park to undergo a full rehabilitation since 2017. Additionally, without the hard work of our Borough Clerk, the grant application would not have been accumulated and submitted.

To complete the project, the Borough must raise a $30,000 match. The Morrison family is planning a fundraiser to help cover this amount, so be on the lookout for details. Other community organizations have also expressed interest in helping to meet the match, and the more support, the better!

We are excited to continue improving our Borough's facilities and to make Morrison Park safe, attractive, and accessible for all.
