Several months ago, the Council tasked the Civil Service Commission with leading the process of testing and ranking candidates for the promotion of a patrol officer to the position of Sergeant within the Wesleyville Police Department.
After a thorough selection process, Officer Hawryliw was ultimately chosen at the Council’s public meeting last night. With years of experience in the Borough and as the officer in charge of the Borough's K9 unit, the Council is confident in his leadership abilities and his capacity to move the department forward. Congratulations, Sergeant Hawryliw, and thank you for your service!
