Red Flag Warning issued November 12 at 3:25AM EST until November 12 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
* Affected Area...The Catskills Fire Weather Zone, which is
comprised of parts of Greene, Ulster, Sullivan and Delaware
Counties and the Middle Hudson Valley Fire Weather Zone, which
is comprised of parts of Schoharie, Montgomery, Schenectady,
Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess and
Sullivan Counties.
* Timing...9 AM to 6 PM Today
* Winds...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 35 percent.
* Temperatures...In the 40s
* Impacts...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
