Red Flag Warning issued November 11 at 4:01PM EST until November 12 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Red Flag Warning
for which is in effect from 9 AM to 6 PM EST Tuesday.
* Affected Area...The Catskill and portions of the Hudson Valley
Fire Danger Rating Areas including Albany, Schenectady, Columbia,
Rensselaer, Sullivan, Dutchess, Ulster, Greene and portions of
Delaware, Schoharie, and Montgomery Counties.
* Timing...9AM to 6PM Tuesday
* Winds...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph.
* Relative Humidity...30 to 40 percent.
* Temperatures...In the 40s.
* Impacts...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
