The following is a letter from Borough of Edinboro trash hauler Tri-County Industries that will also be included in this month's water bill envelopes. Please note, this new service is optional and does not impact or reduce the amount of refuse or recycling that can be placed at the curb weekly. Dear Edinboro Resident,
As a valued customer of Tri-County Industries and resident of Edinboro Borough, we are offering the convenience of both a 95-gallon trash cart and a 95-gallon recycling cart. Carts will be provided to all residential units at no cost to the resident. This is an option provided in conjunction with the existing contracted service provided to Borough residents.
We recommend the use of our carts for two reasons. First, the cart is much easier for you to get to the curb – no more lugging cans or bags – simply roll the cart to the curb! This is a heavy-duty plastic cart on wheels with a tight-fitting lid to keep animals out. Second, for the safety of our collection employees, the use of a cart would allow us to use mechanical means to empty waste materials into our truck.
Tri-County Industries will retain ownership of the carts and will replace carts worn out due to normal wear and tear.
