Special Weather Statement issued November 3 at 10:05AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
Low relative humidity values resulting from exceptionally dry
weather will impose an increased risk for fire danger this
afternoon. Relative humidity values are expected to drop into the
upper 20 to low 30 percent range during peak heating hours across
eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. In addition, easterly wind
gusts to 15-20 mph at times, highest in the PA ridges, are
expected this afternoon which may also help to locally drop
relative humidity values further as well. Exercise enhanced
caution with activities that involve open flames or sparks as
fires can easily spread in these weather conditions.
