Description
November 1, 2024 - 10:30 A.M.
The Berks County Commissioners have enacted a Berks County wide BURN BAN which will go into effect as of Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. Please see attached copy of the BURN BAN for full details.
The BURN BAN restrictions burning of debris etc., with the current drought conditions and until things change the ban stays in affect for 30 days.
The Twin Valley Fire Department has already responded this week to several fires which were spreading rapidly but they were able to get them under control.
The Caernarvon Township Board of Supervisors support the need for the BURN BAN.
Law Enforcement in Berks County have the legal authority to enforce the BURN BAN.
We would ask the community to take this seriously and if you see open burning in your neighborhood to contact 911 and report it.
Thank you,
Chief Paul R. Stolz, Jr.
Caernarvon Township Police Department
