Description
Special Weather Statement issued October 26 at 8:09AM EDT by NWS State College PA
A combination of dry and windy conditions will create an elevated
risk of wildfire spread across the southeastern half of PA on
Saturday. Relative humidity values dip to the 25 to 40 percent
range in the afternoon accompanied by wind gusts out of the
Northwest between 20 and 30 MPH.
Residents and recreational/outdoor enthusiasts are urged to
exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such
as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree
litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread
rapidly.
