Special Weather Statement issued October 23 at 8:57PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 857 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Duquesne, or over McKeesport, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Greensburg, McKeesport,
Jeannette, Plum, West Mifflin, Baldwin, Murrysville, Wilkinsburg,
Whitehall, South Park Township, Munhall, Jefferson Hills, North
Versailles, Brentwood, Swissvale, Pleasant Hills and White Oak.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
