Description
Some important updates for community members:
1) There will be food trucks parked on W. Jackson Street, between Main Street and N. Elm Ave. That small section of Jackson St. will be closed beginning at 3:15pm.
2) There will be a participant shuttle running prior to the parade. This will affect East St. and Pine Ave (please see the map below). The highlighted streets will closed down at 4:15pm.
3) All roads affected by the parade route will be closed to traffic at 6:45 pm with NO EXCEPTIONS. Residents living along the parade route will need to have their vehicles moved off the street by 12:00 pm.
4) You may put chairs and blankets out the day of the parade but please do not block sidewalks or place anything in the roadways.
5) There will be food trucks set up in several locations around the borough (Jackson Street, Walnut Street, Beck Funeral Home parking lot, ACNB parking lot, VFW parking lot). The Friendship Hose Fire Department will also be selling food and the VFW is open to the public for the evening.
6) C&MA Church on N. Main St will have their restrooms open to the public! There will also be portable toilets available in the VFW parking lot.
7) Be patient and kind! We know these traffic restrictions are frustrating but it is necessary for everyone’s safety.
