Description
The City continues to assess the damage left behind by Hurricane Milton. Our parks are currently in a state of disrepair. Blake Park has numerous fallen trees, along with loose hanging branches and waterlogged ground. The playground area is especially hazardous, being wet and slippery due to the heavy rainfall.
Both the Equestrian center and Melissa Park have sustained similar damage. At this time, it is unsafe to use any of these parks for activities, including after-school events.
Please exercise extreme caution if you must enter these areas. We take pride in the safety and well-being of our citizens and look forward to having the parks back to pre-hurricane conditions.
