No Shave November 2024
The Officers of the Crafton Borough Police Department will put their razors away for the month of November to participate in "No Shave November." Typically Officers must be clean shaven on a daily basis due to department policy. What is No Shave November? No Shave November is a month long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. The concept of No Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. Participate by growing a beard, cultivating a mustache, letting those legs go natural and skipping that waxing appointment. The rules of No Shave November are simple: Put down your razor for the month of November and donate your monthly hair maintenance expenses, or more, to the cause! Crafton Police Officers wishing to participate in No Shave November will be donating their own money from November 1st through November 30th. In order for the Officers to participate, and allow their facial hair to grow they will be required to make a minimum donation of $35. This year all No Shave November donations will be donated to the American Cancer Society in memory of Pat Shaw. Pat Shaw was a good friend to the Crafton Borough Police Department along with many citizens.
