The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Brevard County in east central Florida...
Northeastern Lake County in east central Florida...
Northern Orange County in east central Florida...
Seminole County in east central Florida...
Volusia County in east central Florida...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 553 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Orlando, Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Sanford, Apopka,
Altamonte Springs, Ormond Beach, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Oviedo,
Winter Springs, Winter Park, DeLand, Casselberry, New Smyrna
Beach, Edgewater, Eustis, Maitland and Lake Mary.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
