Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued October 6 at 8:33PM EDT until October 6 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 833 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lower Burrell,
or 8 miles west of Vandergrift, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Penn Hills, Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville, New
Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, O'hara Township,
Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Arnold, Tarentum, Natrona Heights,
Springdale, Brackenridge, Leechburg, Cheswick, Russellton and
North Apollo.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
