Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued October 6 at 8:23PM EDT until October 6 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 823 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Oakmont, or
near Penn Hills, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Greensburg, Vandergrift, Apollo, Shaler Township,
Plum, Murrysville, Hampton Township, New Kensington, Lower
Burrell, Harrison Township, O'hara Township, Wilkins Township,
Oakmont, Fox Chapel and Arnold.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
