Special Weather Statement issued October 4 at 6:47AM EDT by NWS State College PA
Cool temperatures, calm air, moderately high moisture at low
levels and breaks in the thin high clouds have combined to
create locally dense fog throughout the valleys of Central
Pennsylvania.
The fog will last through the prime morning commute hours to
work and school. Visibility will dip to just a few hundred
feet in some locations.
Please use extra caution traveling this morning until the
visibility improves, which should happen by 9 AM EDT. Reduce
your speed, use low beam headlights to alert other vehicles to
your presence, and allow plenty of braking distance between you
and the vehicle ahead.
