Description
Single story residential & commercial structures. The City anticipates that most of these structures will require a building permit application for drywall and electrical conduit and receptacle replacement, at a minimum. It is our understanding that most single story residential & commercial structures received storm surge that affected drywall and wiring.
Commercial buildings two or more stories. The City will require a structural engineer to confirm the structural integrity of the foundation at a minimum. It is our understanding that during the storm surge, water moved with velocity above the foundations potentially causing scour at the foundations.
Any building that has damage of a load bearing wall or member, the City will require a structural engineer to confirm the structural integrity of the building.
