Special Weather Statement issued September 25 at 2:14PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL
At 214 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Orange Springs, or 8 miles north of Fort McCoy, moving northwest at
30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Gainesville, Interlachen, Melrose, Citra, Alachua, Hawthorne,
University Of Florida, Rochelle, Melrose Landing, and Cross Creek.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
