Description
I know many of you are preparing for the coming storm but wish you had more information, and we all understand this.
Right now, we know that this storm is showing surge worse than Idalia was last year. At worst case scenario we are seeing 10–15-foot surge potential. There is a high possibility of us getting major wind during this storm.
We are waiting for the county to provide an Evacuation Order. As soon as they provide that we will post here on savvy.
Many of you have asked questions on the roadblock situation. Once the wind and rain calm down Levy County Sheriff's office will set up a barricade and will not allow entry to anyone except Town Officials, Public Safety, and Power Company. Once the Power Company and Public Safety ensure that the roads and conditions are safe then the Levy Sheriff's office will allow residents only to enter. Please show your Hurricane Pass or proof of residents to enter back in. There will be no exceptions. Either be prepared to be in your home or out of your home for 72 hours.
Lastly, I want to encourage everyone to evacuate.
