Flood Watch issued September 3 at 8:54AM CDT until September 4 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of south Texas, including the following areas,
Aransas Islands, Calhoun Islands, Coastal Aransas, Coastal
Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal
San Patricio, Duval, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland
Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Kleberg
Islands, La Salle, McMullen, Nueces Islands, Victoria and Webb.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall amounts of up to 2 to 7 inches have already fallen
across portions of South Texas. An additional 2 to 4 inches
with isolated 6 inches is possible. High rainfall rates of
around 3 inches per hour combined with already saturated soil
could lead to flash flooding.
