Dear West Newton Resident,
The following is the schedule for road closures and alerts on your street and neighboring streets. Thank you for your cooperation as we ready Vine Street Park for this year's Community Festival, Sept 6th, 7th 8th.
WE KINDLY REQUEST ALL CARS BE REMOVED FROM STREETS LISTED BELOW BY 2:30PM, THURSDAY, SEPT. 5TH (*This does not apply to South 5th Street residents) Vendors will be arriving to set up on these streets beginning at 3:00PM this date. Please utilize adjacent streets for parking.
South 5th Street WILL BE OPEN THE ENTIRE FESTIVAL WEEKEND FROM MAIN ST TO THE GYM CORNER (MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK) for parking and traffic FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE 100 BLAOCK OF S. 5TH.
THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF STREETS:
- Vine Street and South 3rd Street intersection to Vine Street and South 6th Street intersection
- South 4th Street from Presbyterian Parking Lot to Entrance of Lutheran Church Parking lot
- South 5th from Main Street to Past Verizon Parking lot
WILL BE AFFECTED BY THESE CLOSURES AND ALERTS:
- Thursday Sept 5th - open to through traffic all day - use caution/vendors start arriving to setup at 3pm
- Friday Sept 6th - open to through traffic until 4PM - use caution/vendors arriving
- Friday Sept 6th - will CLOSE to all traffic 4PM - 10:30PM**
- Saturday Sept 7th - will CLOSE to all traffic 9:30AM - 10:30PM**
- Sunday Sept 8th - will CLOSE to all traffic 9:30AM - 7:30PM**
THURSDAY/FIRDAY/SATURDAY - open nightly for through traffic from 10:30PM to 9:30AM
South 5th WILL BE CLOSED to all traffic from Gym corner (Middle of Block) to Vine Street from 2:30PM Thursday Sept. 5th through 7:30PM Sep. 8th.
**EMERGENCY VEHICLES WILL HAVE ACCESS
