Special Weather Statement issued August 28 at 6:44PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

At 642 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Barton Creek to near Henly to near Canyon Lake.
The outflow boundary associated with the storms was moving
to the northwest around 40 to 45 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph are ppssible.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Austin, Cedar Park, Marble Falls, Dripping Springs, Blanco, Bertram,
Round Mountain, Canyon Lake Dam, Leander, Canyon Lake, Lakeway, Lago
Vista, Bee Cave, Granite Shoals, Horseshoe Bay, West Lake Hills,
Hudson Bend, The Hills, Johnson City, and Meadowlakes.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
