Flood Advisory issued August 26 at 9:07PM EDT until August 26 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northern Florida, including the following
county, Alachua.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 906 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gainesville, Hawthorne, Newnans Lake and Grove Park.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
