Excessive Heat Watch issued August 26 at 3:08AM CDT until August 27 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL
* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 107
expected. For the Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 112 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Illinois.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM CDT
this evening. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Tuesday morning
through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
