Description
At the August 19, 2024 Borough Council Meeting, representatives from the Montgomery County Planning Commission presented a draft plan for future improvements to the Pennypack Property. Following the purchase of the Pennypack Property in 2022, the Borough established a Pennypack Steering Committee which was tasked with creating a plan for future improvements to Pennypack. This Committee was comprised of residents from throughout the borough, each with various backgrounds and interests including recreation, wildlife, stormwater, and more. This Committee met for approximately a year and partnered with Montgomery County Planning Commission who helped prepare concept plans that reflected the overall goals of the Steering Committee. It is extremely important to note that this plan is a draft document and that it is subject to change based on input from Borough Residents and Borough Council. A copy of the plan itself is on the Borough website for anyone who cannot attend this evening.
