Heat Advisory issued August 23 at 1:56AM CDT until August 23 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas including the eastern
Hill Country, I-35 Corridor, and part of the Coastal Plains.
* WHEN...From noon today to 9 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
