"Working America" conducting door-to-door organizing drive

The Borough and the Police department were recently notified that “Working America” will be conducting a door-to-door organizing drive in Plum starting on the 22nd of August 2024 and continuing into September.
Working America is an organization that engages in legislative, and political advocacy. Working America’s canvassing operation is considered constitutionally protected political speech and therefore they are not required to obtain a solicitation permit through the Borough.
You should treat these door knockers like anyone else that comes through your neighborhood. You can choose to talk with them, or simply avoid them by not answering the door. Either way, they will not be wearing or displaying any sort of solicitation permit.
