Excessive Heat Warning issued August 22 at 1:57AM CDT until August 22 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 103 to 106
degrees and heat index values up to 113.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas including the eastern
Hill Country, I-35 Corridor, and inland Coastal Plains.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
