Heat Advisory issued August 21 at 3:35PM CDT until August 22 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...For the Excessive Heat Warning today, dangerously hot
conditions with temperatures up to 107 degrees and heat index
values up to 110. For the Heat Advisory Thursday, dangerously hot
conditions with temperatures up to 104 degrees and heat index
values up to 112.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas.
* WHEN...For the Excessive Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this
evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to 9 PM CDT
Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
