Excessive Heat Watch issued August 19 at 1:51PM CDT until August 21 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX

* WHAT...For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 113.
For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 113
expected. For the Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 117 possible.

* WHERE...Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio, Refugio,
Aransas, Calhoun and Victoria Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening.
For the second Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM CDT Tuesday. For
the Excessive Heat Watch, from Wednesday afternoon through
Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
