Special Weather Statement issued August 18 at 7:12PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 711 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mount Joy, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lititz, Manheim, East Petersburg, Brickerville, Lawn, Penryn, and
Lancaster Airport.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
south central Pennsylvania.
