Description
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic loss of a fire police officer from the Goldsboro Fire Company (Station 28), who was fatally struck on August 16, 2024, at approximately 2:20 PM. The officer was directing traffic following a separate vehicle crash in the area. Our hearts go out to the officer's family, loved ones, and all fellow first responders during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that the community keeps the officer's family and colleagues in their thoughts as we mourn this loss together as a community. Please see the attached PDF for the full official statement.
