Flood Watch issued August 17 at 4:59AM EDT until August 18 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including Juniata,
Mifflin, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Perry, Snyder, and Union
Counties.
* WHEN...From noon EDT today through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving thunderstorms later today and early tonight could
make very heavy rainfall in the central mountains of PA. Much
of this area had the heaviest of the rainfall from Tropical
Cyclone Debby. In some of this area, it will take less than
an inch of rain in one hour to make flash flooding.
