Flood Warning issued August 10 at 4:39AM EDT until August 11 at 12:12AM EDT by NWS State College PA
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Pennsylvania...
West Branch Susquehanna at West Milton affecting Union and
Northumberland Counties.
West Branch Susquehanna at Muncy affecting Lycoming County.
West Branch Susquehanna River at Allenwood affecting Union,
Lycoming and Northumberland Counties.
West Branch Susquehanna at Lewisburg affecting Union and
Northumberland Counties.
West Branch Susquehanna at Williamsport affecting Lycoming County.
Penns Creek near Penns Creek affecting Snyder and Union Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Branch Susquehanna at Williamsport.
* WHEN...From this morning to just after midnight tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, High water affects a few homes and some
roadways in areas not protected by the levee system. The camping
area west of Williamsport is significantly affected.
At 21.0 feet, A number of residences and roads in the area outside
the levee system are affected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:24 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 17.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 20.7 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage this evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
19.7 feet on 08/19/1994.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
This warning will be in effect until the river falls below its flood
stage.
